The Kaziranga Orchid National park is an abode of more than 600 species of wild orchids collected from all across the north-east India region. This beautiful orchid have been placed amidst wild state in order to give complete natural ambience taking visitors as close to nature as possible.
The Kaziranga Orchid Park, comprises an area of 16 bigha of land houses 500 orchid species found in Northeast, 200 varieties of paddy, medicinal plants which are fast becoming extinct, various types of local flowers and fruits.
The Kaziranga Orchid National Park houses over 600 species of wild orchids gathered from across Northeast India. These orchids are strategically placed in a greenhouse, along with some hybrid varieties.
Located at about 1.5 km from Kohora, the Orchid Park boasts of housing more than 500 species of orchids from the North Eastern region of India. In addition, the park also has a cactus garden, a craft museum and a herbal garden. Very well informed volunteers explain the details of every exhibit.
The National Orchid Garden, located within the Singapore Botanic Gardens, was opened on 20 October 1995 by Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew. [1] The National Orchid Garden is located in the Central Core of the gardens.
