Against slow enemies, the optic staff will perform close to the level that sanguine does. However, against fast enemies like Duke Fishron, the optic staff will miss it's lasers quite a lot. Also worth noting is that the hallowed armor is a downgrade for summoners from spider armor.
The Optic Staff is a craftable summoner weapon. It summons miniature versions of the Twins that fight for the player. Much like the boss they were based on, one of the minions summoned by this weapon attacks by ramming into enemies while the other fires lasers.
Larvi22. • 4 yr. ago. From my experience, blade staff needs work to be better. As in both +5 piercing accessories then it begins to stack up to some of the hardmode summons. Whereas the optic staff has more minions and probable better damage potential.
