You can, if you want, purchase a new, standalone, perpetual license version of Word (2021). If you purchased Word 2016/2019 for a previous computer or the corresponding Office version you can install it on the new comptuter and activate it there by deactivating on the old computer.

I plan on upgrading to Windows 11 through the Windows Update sometime in the next 1-2 months (the update is already available to me), and I know that pre-2016 versions of Office are not supported on Windows 11.
