8 paź 2019 · In short, Oblivion has not been able to detect OBSE repeatedly. I've now installed and uninstalled Oblivion and OBSE about four times in the last week or so. The Steam overlay is enabled in Steam Settings as well as in Oblivion's Properties.

12 gru 2016 · I want to play MorroBlivion mod. Every time I try to play it I get the message appearing that Oblivion cannot detect OBSE. I downloaded the latest version of OBSE and dragged the files into my Oblivion folder in Steam\SteamApps\common\Oblivion but still nothing.
10 kwi 2011 · Run oblivion by running obse_loader.exe from the Oblivion directory. If you use a desktop shortcut to launch Oblivion normally, just update the shortcut to point to obse_loader.exe instead of oblivion.exe.
18 lut 2015 · 1. Make sure you get the latest version from the official site: http://obse.silverlock.org. 2. Unpack where it should be installed, where the Oblivion.exe file is: ..\Steam\SteamApps\common\Oblivion. 3. Read the obse_readme.txt. You don't have to load the game from obse_loader.exe.

(It's actually "Enable the Steam Overlay while in game" now, also check that it's marked if you Right-Click Oblivion > Properties > General) 3.
OBSE will not work if this setting is not enabled: Steam > Settings > In-Game > Check the box marked "Enable steam community in-game". Download Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) to the Oblivion folder Extract it there.
No idea how or why that finally fixed things but my OBSE now runs properly when I launch Oblivion from my Steam now. I use WryeBash/OBMM to install my mods btw. OBSE was installed 100% manually. Also make sure to launch the game from steam and not the oblivion.exe!!
