17 lip 2022 · My MGN15H rails and carriages will be here in a couple of days which motivated me to finish the design work for this upgrade. And the mounting brackets are currently being printed in ABS+ with 5 walls / layers and cubic infill to ensure they are strong and solid.

17 lip 2022 · Likes Received: 122. I made a little more progress on my CNC machine today. First up I replaced the almost useless wifi antenna with a 6 dBi unit with works really well. And I made myself an aluminum soldering jig so I don’t ruin anymore mini XLR jacks when soldering on the wires.

However, I sold my 3018 Pro after a week and got the 3018 "max metal" from AliExpress as it is much sturdier. I also upgraded the X-axis to linear rails and got a better z-slide with a bit longer max travel. It's a really nice machine for wood and thinner aluminum. I really enjoy it.
