Mescalero or Mescalero Apache (Mescalero-Chiricahua: Naa'dahéńdé) is an Apache tribe of Southern Athabaskan –speaking Native Americans. The tribe is federally recognized as the Mescalero Apache Tribe of the Mescalero Apache Reservation, located in south-central New Mexico.

30 paź 2021 · Mescalero Apaches range extended from the area south of Anton Chico, New Mexico to the Bolson de Mapimi in Chihuahua Mexico (MX) and adjacent areas in Coahuila MX. The western limits being the Rio Grande River and the eastern limits being the Pecos River which they ventured across to hunt buffalo.
Mescalero Apache is one of the Southern Athapaskan languages. It is mutually intelligible to speakers of other Apachean languages and Navajo and is related to Athapaskan languages in Alaska, western parts of Canada, and the northern California and Oregon coast.
The Mescalero Apache Tribe was established by Executive Order of President Ulysses S. Grant on May 27, 1873. There are three sub-bands that comprise the Tribe: the Mescalero Apache, the Chiricahua Apache, and the Lipan Apache.
