MDPI follows the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors guidelines which state that, in order to qualify for authorship of a manuscript, the following criteria should be observed: Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
Part I: General Guidelines. Provides page and paragraph settings for the whole document. Part II: Style Guidelines. Presents the specific requirements for document content (text, graphics, equations, etc.), which work both for Word (formal style) and XML conversion (mark-up).
