I would like to install a switch in my 8 with which i can manually turn the cooling fans on and therefore not have to wait for the ECU to decide that boiling coolant isn't a good idea. I have installed a coolant temperature gauge so i could see the effect.
This product will modify the Factory Cooling Fan Control System by altering the temperatures at which the factory cooling fans cycle on and off. By turning the fans on in high speed mode at 180f instead of 206f (factory setting) engine operating temperature is significantly reduced!
15 sty 2021 · For the stock RX-8 pre-built tune that you can flash through Versatuner Lite, have the fan temp settings been changed at all? Wondering if it is worth it getting separate fan temp control device on top of the tune. Thanks!
You can do this with a relay kit or by using tuning software (Mazda Edit or Versatuner). If your car is overheating even when not stressed, your cooling system is malfunctioning and you need to diagnose that before throwing parts at it.
