11 wrz 2020 · Sure, you can make a window bigger, and some people call that maximizing, but it doesn't hide the menu bar or title bar of the window, and is distracting. The only way to hide the menu bar and window chrome is to use the fullscreen mode, which puts it in a new desktop.

To work in a bigger window without going full screen, you can maximize the window; the window expands, but the menu bar and the Dock remain visible. See Maximize or minimize app windows . If you’re using an app full screen, you can quickly choose another app to use in Split View .
Make text and icons bigger. Enlarge text you’re reading or typing. Move the pointer over text or icons to display a larger version, or see what you’re typing in a large text window. Use Hover Text and Hover Typing. Zoom in on the screen. Magnify the entire screen, or use an adjustable onscreen lens to zoom in on a part of it.
You can go to System Preferences -> Dock uncheck "Double-click a window's title bar to minimize" and then, when you double click on the title bar in a window, it will maximize the window without going into full screen mode.
