On your Mac, click in the Dock to open a Finder window. Select the folder whose view you want to customize, then choose View > Show View Options or press Command-J. Set options to customize the view for the selected folder. Each view has various options.
15 wrz 2023 · If you’re using a Mac and you’ve found yourself in a place where every Finder window is opening up with a different set of view options (that is icons, list, columns or Cover Flow), there’s a way to quickly remedy this.
Click items in the Finder sidebar to view your apps, documents, downloads, and more. You can customize the sidebar to change or rearrange the items it shows, or add an item you open frequently. To quickly view a document or image without opening it, use the Preview pane.

24 kwi 2020 · Goal: I want to set the View Options for ALL of my Finder folders. As far as I understand it, the systems saves any View Options changes inside that folder, and if the folder doesn't have any settings saves, it will use the Use as Defaults that you specify in any View Options.
Open Finder and configure the view options as desired for all folders—list view with 10pt font. Click "Use as Defaults". Open one of the folders that I want to view by default different from the other folders (e.g., Applications) Set the view options for just that folder—icon view, 40 x 40 icon size, 10pt font.
22 maj 2017 · I'm using Finder on macOS, and one major frustration I have is the disorganized grid view that always ends up cluttered and messy until I right click and 'Clean Up by Name'. I don't mind the grid view in itself, but I'm also fine with list view.
