They should be owned by root and the script should be executable. sudo chmod 744 /usr/local/bin/enable_touchpad.sh. sudo chmod 644 /etc/systemd/system/touchpad_enabler.service. Then you enable the systemd service.

9 paź 2019 · Although I the user I set to run the command fedora has permission to everything the command requires (verified by both running the command manually in a logged-in shell without failure and permission checks on the files), it still gives the error of permission denied.
With sysvinit, a sudoers entry like this would suffice: %webteam cms051=/sbin/service httpd *. This would allow for commands such as: sudo service httpd status. sudo service httpd restart. Now, with systemd, the service name is the final argument. I.e., the service restart would be done with:

I have the script in /usr/local/bin/ and service files plus timer in /lib/systemd/system/. ls -an /usr/local/bin/ prints. ls -an /lib/systemd/system/schedule-backup_root*.
11 gru 2017 · The service should be writing datetime and user name after every 2 seconds, but this won't happen and instead I get permissions error. I have confirmed that service is being run as john and I could get it echoed correctly. Permission issue appears when I try to write in the file. Any clue? UPDATE 1.
