1 wrz 2022 · We describe a late Miocene fossil wood specimen of Ebenoxylon siwalicus Prakash from the Karit Formation belonging to IBSR. The anatomical details of the fossil wood reveal its close affinity with Diospyros belonging to the family Ebenaceae.
18 paź 2021 · Key Points. Two new reconstructions of global paleogeographic boundary conditions for the middle Miocene (∼14 Ma) and late Miocene (∼6 Ma) Land–sea distribution, seaways, and paleotopography are constrained using fossils, lithofacies, paleoenvironment, and paleoelevation data.
6 cze 2023 · We used Leaf Margin Analysis and Climate Leaf Analysis Multivariate Program to reconstruct paleoclimatic changes in eastern Zhejiang during the Late Miocene. The paleoclimatic information of the five stages from old to new times was obtained based on the plant fossils of each layer.

1 maj 2011 · For the quantitative climatic analyses of Southern China, 63 assemblages with 4 leaf, and 59 pollen floras from 16 fossil localities have been compiled from the literature, and were assigned to Early, Middle, and Late Miocene based on the correlation with the biostratigraphy and floristic comparison according to the references cited.
21 maj 2020 · Here, we describe a fossil species, Cercis zekuensis sp. nov. based on well-preserved fruits from the early Miocene of the northeastern Tibetan Plateau. Detailed morphological comparison (e.g., ventral margin with a veinless wing) of extant and fossil members of Cercis and other genera confirmed validity of the present taxonomic identity.
