20 kwi 2021 · Artificer. Between spells and infusions, artificers are generally very durable, but they don’t have good Wisdom saves and they don’t have a way to get resistance to psychic damage. The Kalashtar’s additional defenses patch those vulnerabilities.
10 kwi 2021 · The Artificer doesn’t benefit much from any racial ability other than Dual Mind, and there are better races for the Artificer with similar abilities (like the Gnome). If you’re looking for optimal, this isn’t it.
15 sty 2012 · The Kalashtar have little to offer the traditional Artificer, regardless of what kind of artificer you want to be. No real advantages, but no disadvantages either, making them fairly neutral as to their mechanical effectiveness.

More of a roleplay heavy build since psychic is hard to work with and arguably just going a Kalashtar artificer in another subclass would be easier. Still, love the idea of a person with many faces just doing some mind mojo on peeps.
Best Classes and Archetypes for Kalastar. Artificer: This class is recommended for characters with a high Intelligence. This won’t be the best pick for a Kalashtar. Alchemist– Experts in combining elements and reagents together, Alchemists can give life or steal it away.
