Jisho is a powerful Japanese-English dictionary. It lets you find words, kanji, example sentences and more quickly and easily. Our goal is to build a new kind of dictionary that doesn't just let you look up single words or kanji, but rather helps you understand any Japanese text.
Jisho.org is a free online dictionary that provides definitions, translations, examples, and audio for Japanese words and phrases. You can search by word, kanji, or radical, and filter by level, JLPT, or Wanikani.
Please note that we read all messages we get, but it can take a long time for us to reply as Jisho is a side project and we do not have very much time to devote to it. This site uses the JMdict , Kanjidic2 , JMnedict and Radkfile dictionary files.
