15 lip 2017 · This diagnostic tool is a must for detecting paracentral and visual field defects close to fixation in glaucoma, even the early-moderate stage. By Austin Lifferth, OD, Brian Fisher, OD, April Stursma, OD, Sarah Cordes, OD, Stephanie Carter, OD, and Trina Perkins, OD.
Humphrey field analyser (HFA) is a tool for measuring the human visual field that is commonly used by optometrists, orthoptists and ophthalmologists, particularly for detecting monocular visual field. [1] The results of the analyser identify the type of vision defect.
25 sie 2023 · The 10-2 tests the central 10 degrees of the retina. It consists of 68 closely placed points with a distance of 2 degrees between any two points. This means that a circle with a radius of 1 degree is the area of the retina that remains unevaluated between any four points.
Jung et al 29 (level I) compared the standard automated perimetry 10-2 (SAP 10-2) VF test with the Humphrey Matrix FDT 10-2 test for detecting central VF defects among 190 glaucoma patients, including 102 without any defects on 24-2 VF (preperimetric) and 45 with an isolated paracentral scotoma on 24-2 VF testing (MD = –2.4 ± 1.9 dB, all ...
In order to better understand the value-add of 10-2 testing for detecting central visual field progression, it should be compared with the measurements obtained from the central test locations of the 24-2 tests, and specificities of the two methods should be matched.
The recruited subjects underwent testing using the 10-2 (SITA-Fast) and the 24-2C (SITA-Faster) test grids on the Humphrey Field Analyzer (Carl Zeiss Meditec). The order of testing was randomized between the 2 grids.
29 kwi 2019 · Conventionally, the utilization of visual field programs for analysis of the central retina, such as the 10-2 test, has been confined to patients with advanced glaucoma. However, recently, a number of studies have shown that Humphrey visual field programs for testing the retinal periphery, such as the 30-2 or 24-2, often miss central defects.
