Mother is a boss added in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance and the only boss of the second floor of the Corpse, as well as the final boss of Ending 21. Upon entering the boss room in Corpse II, the room is empty except for a hole in its center.
At the end of the Mines you will see a door spawn that requires you to give up health to enter. This will bring you to the Mausoleum, you have to beat the Mom there which will spawn the flesh door (don't know it's technical term). The regular mom fight in the Depths won't spawn that door. As for phase 2 be sure to not get hit by the lazer at the start, you can avoid it by going to the sides of the room, and the hardest attack for that phase is a bunch of little tear strings that get shot out as mother does a spin, but those don't home in on you.
Mom appears in a unique boss room that has a boss door in the center of all sides of the room. Mom can use these doorways to perform various attacks: Stomps on Isaac's position, damaging nearby enemies and destroying obstacles. This attack is telegraphed by a growing shadow and her grunting.
