16 gru 2011 · I need the symbol for number --- it is atop the numerical 3 on the keyboard. I should therefore be able to get that symbol by pressing SHIFT+the number 3 key. Instead of getting the symbol which I need I instead get the symbol for the British Pound currency.

4 lip 2022 · With a Keyboard Shortcut. If your keyboard has a UK layout, the British pound symbol (£) is located on the number 3 key. To insert the pound sterling symbol on such a keyboard, simply press and hold Shift + 3.
19 cze 2018 · Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region > Keyboards and Languages > Change Keyboards > Add. Now choose UK Keyboard. To switch to it click the language shortcut to the left of the clock in the Notification area and choose UK. Shift+3 should now produce the £ symbol.
It sounds like you are set up to use the US keyboard layout, but would like to use the UK one. To change it, go to Control Panel | Region and Language, and click the Keyboard and Languages tab. Then click Change keyboards. and choose the one that's right for you.
