The World Higher Education Database (WHED) is the IAU unique online reference portal that provides authoritative information on some 19,800 accredited higher education institutions as well as on higher education systems and credentials in 196 countries and territories.
The WHED provides information on around 21,000 HEIs in 196 countries and territories. Each country listed in the database is divided into two sections: 1. education system and credentials; 2. higher education institutions.
[1] The IAU World Higher Education Database (WHED) is a unique online reference portal that provides authoritative information on some 19,400 accredited higher education institutions and on higher education systems and degrees in 196 countries and territories. The WHED has been developed and maintained in collaboration with UNESCO.
5 lis 2021 · The HEDBIB database is a unique resource of references and publications on higher education systems, administration, planning, policy and evaluation from around the world. Links to electronic publications are provided where freely available.
The UIS has also developed a series of unique indicators to track the flows of foreign or mobile students. These data reveal the shifting demand for higher education, especially in developing countries, by showing where students go to study and where they come from.
In collaboration with UNESCO, the IAU WHED Portal provides authoritative information on higher education systems, credentials in 196 countries and territories and over 20,800 officially accredited or recognized higher education institutions (HEIs).
