Application Requirements. All applicants—both international and U.S. candidates, first-year and transfer— must complete the following application components: Common Application or apply Coalition, Powered by Scoir. Harvard College Questions for the Common Application, or Coalition Application Harvard supplement.
All first-year candidates must complete the Common Application or the Coalition Application along with the required supplements. We have no preference and each application is treated equally by the Admissions Committee. View our detailed application requirements here.
Regular Decision candidates apply by January 1 and receive notification by the end of March. You are welcome to apply to Harvard using the Common Application which opens August 1, or the Coalition Application, Powered by Scoir, which opens August 15. View detailed application timeline.

To apply for admission as a first-year or transfer student at Harvard, you will start with the Application. Fill out the Common Application or the Coalition Application, Powered by Scoir (choose one, we have no preference), followed by the supplement to help us get a better sense of who you are.
All prospective undergraduate students, including those intending to study engineering and applied sciences, must apply directly to Harvard College. Students do not need to declare their intended concentration until their sophomore year.
