8 kwi 2024 · Greenhouse gas emissions include carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide from all sources, including land-use change. They are measured in tonnes of carbon dioxide-equivalents over a 100-year timescale.
This chart maps out future greenhouse gas emissions scenarios under a range of assumptions: if no climate policies were implemented; if current policies continued; if all countries achieved their current future pledges for emissions reductions; and the necessary pathways compatible with limiting warming to 1.5°C or 2°C of warming this century. 4
25 paź 2023 · This chart offers a comprehensive view of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It describes the sources and activities across the global economy that produce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as the type and volume of gases associated with each activity.
23 cze 2022 · This chart offers a comprehensive view of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It describes the sources and activities across the global economy that produce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as the type and volume of gases associated with each activity.
2 mar 2023 · CO 2 emissions from energy combustion and industrial process accounted for 89% of energy-related greenhouse gas emissions in 2022. Methane from energy combustion, leaks and venting represented another 10%, mostly coming from onshore oil and gas operations as well as steam coal production.
8 mar 2022 · Total greenhouse gas emissions reached 40.8 Gt of CO 2 equivalent (CO 2 eq) in 2021 when using a 100-year global warming potential time horizon (see “Data sources and method” for GWP values), above the previous all-time high in 2019.
