Renfe Cercanías AM, [1] formerly known as Renfe Feve, is a division of state-owned Spanish railway company Renfe Operadora. It operates most of Spain's 1,250 km (777 mi) of metre-gauge railway. This division of Renfe was previously a stand-alone company named FEVE (Ferrocarriles de Vía Estrecha, Spanish for "Narrow-Gauge Railways). [2]
Enjoy a slow-paced journey through the North of Spain with the Feve trains. Often hidden from railway maps, these trains run through narrow-gauge lines that measure only 1000mm. Established in 1965, they extend from Bilbao, in the Basque country, to Ferrol, in Galicia.
Renfe Cercanías (Commuter) Metric Gauge now offers an extensive network of narrow-gauge railways in the north west of Spain (Galicia) and in Murcia in addition to some provinces of Castile and León.

The train snakes through the lush and densely tree-lined hills, offering passengers a gorgeous view.
In Spain there is an extensive 1,250 km (780 mi) system of 1,000 mm (3 ft 3⁄ in) metre gauge railways. The majority of these railways was historically operated by FEVE, (Ferrocarriles Españoles de Vía Estrecha, Spanish narrow-gauge railways).
