Fertilizer grade: The percentages of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium in any fertilizer product are designated by the numbers in front of the N-P-K label. For instance 5-10-10 fertilizer contains 5 percent nitrogen, ten percent phosphorous and 10 percent potassium.
