3 maj 2024 · - Fallout 3 runs as well on Win10 and 11 as it did on Win7 (had plenty of bugs out of the gate, and a tendency to corrupt saves). Even the original disc based version. As do the vast majority of games that can be downloaded from EPIC, Steam, etc. I also got the GOTY version of game from EPIC on a give away.
So, today I reinstalled Fallout 3 after the update that supposedly makes Fallout 3 playable on Windows again. The installation failed several times, but it was eventually figured out. Upon installation finishing, I could launch the launcher successfully, no problems whatsoever, and even launch the game itself.

Open up the fallout.ini file in My Documents\My Games\Fallout3 (make a copy first for backup) Find the line: bUseThreadedAI=0 (Open the ini file with notepad - Click Edit - then find - Copy this line and paste it into the ' find what' box) change it to: bUseThreadedAI=1.
There are workarounds for this issue in the steam launcher, however, they will not apply to the game pass version as the download files from the Microsoft Store and Xbox app are encrypted. Fallout 3 Game of the Year on Series X. Hello, I have been trying to play Fallout 3 GOTY on series X. The game installed fine, as did all the DLC to my xbox by using disc 2. I then started the game (with disc 2 inside). The screen said loading additional content, please wait. Once that ended I could see the DLC in the homescreen of the game.
