17 maj 2017 · The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has published the Instrument Rating – Airplane Airman Certification Standards (ACS) document to communicate the aeronautical knowledge, risk management, and flight proficiency standards for the instrument rating in the airplane category, single-engine land and sea; and multiengine land and sea classes.
Most of the Federal Aviation Regulations, including Part 25, commenced on February 1, 1965. Prior to that date, airworthiness standards for airplanes in the transport category were promulgated in Part 4b of the US Civil Air Regulations which was in effect by November 1945.
The person must send the Airman Certificate and/or Rating Application (FAA Form 8710-1) to the appropriate Flight Standards office.
