Turkish Phantoms, upgraded with Israeli assistance, have been designated F-4 Terminator 2020 and are perhaps the most lethal in the world rivalled only by the F-4EJ Kai operated by the Japanese Air Force.
These upgraded F-4 Phantoms are referred to as the F-4E-2020 Terminator. 54 were modernized and 30+ of them will be in service until at least 2030. [14] They first entered service on 27 January 2000 with deliveries to 111 and 171 Filo.
