5 lut 2020 · Strategy and Reports. Each year the Commission adopts its "Enlargement Package" - a set of documents explaining its policy on EU enlargement. The core of this package is a Communication on enlargement, which takes stock of the developments over the last year.
The main proposals consist of gradual or staged inclusion of the Western Balkan countries in EU programmes, conditional on their progress on introducing reforms, the introduction of clear benchmarks for measuring reforms, and the design of a tailor-made sanctions mechanism.
13 gru 2022 · The Council today approved conclusions on enlargement and stabilisation and association process. The conclusions assess the situation in each of the EU candidates and partners, set out guidelines on reform priorities, and reaffirm the Council’s commitment to the EU’s enlargement policy.
