10 lip 2022 · I was able to find a pretty simple fix, just go to \My Games\Oblivion and delete your Oblivion.ini, with any luck it should run normally after that.

The fix is that when you launch the game and see the screen with data files and options, choose to run the game in windowed mode. it will get you to the main menu with New Game and Load but in a small window.
Oblivion (on steam) won't launch no matter what I do. Bug Help. No mods installed. I've been trying to fix this for weeks. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times. Also "verified integrity of game files", it was fine. I've tried launching it through various different means.
27 lip 2015 · Oblivion Won't Start. Anyone else had this problem? I press play for oblivion and the steam window pops up that reads "launching Oblivion" and it goes right back to the launcher. I've installed in three times, a fresh install everytime.
10 gru 2023 · I recently upgraded from a Sata III SSD to a Gen 4 M.2 and ESO will not launch. I have tried steam installation, official installation, uninstall & reinstall, I can't get anything to work. I've also tried the steps in the support section of the website.
If The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion fails to launch, go through any installed multimedia programs (DVD writing, Music players, A/V editing) and uninstall any programs that install their own codecs. Once you find the one that lets the game launch, you may then re-install the other programs once again.
I just bought oblivion on Steam and while I can get the launcher to open, the game itself will not load. When i click play, the launcher just closes and then nothing happens. Here's what I've tried so far: Running in compatibility mode. Running in windowed mode.
