Sekiro could only beat the Divine Dragon because of the lightning reversal. Without that he would struggle against Elden Ring's dragons. And he also literally could not harm a dude wearing plate armor. That's not a very good sign when plate is extremely common among Elden Ring enemies.

Elden Ring edges out Sekiro solely off of “more bang for your buck”. It’s much bigger, longer, and offers customization in weapons, armor, play style, and attributes. It’s just the better buy between the two and a great entry point to FromSoftware. However, Sekiro is the better campaign of the two as it’s actually possible to follow.
10 gru 2022 · The harder Sekiro gets is not upgrading anything and using only deflect, jump, dash and attack and not using any prostetic or any other tool and if you fail deflect/jump/dash while ringing the bell and giving Kuro charm back, you may still not die instantly and you can still die once or more.
Played Sekiro and then Elden Ring. Sekiro is the hardest game I've ever played. Elden Ring had some learning curve too but have it has way more OP shits to destroy bosses so it's a smoother experience overall. In my opinion, Malenia is the hardest boss among the bosses of both games.
