22 lip 2012 · However the monitor will go to a black screen if started up in DVI, but not if I start it up with vga and then switch it when the computer is on. I just tried uninstalling the driver for the onboard graphics and rebooting with the new card.
DVI troubleshooting: symptoms. Symptoms: corrupted screen in digital mode. If you're using a digital DVI connection between your video card and monitor then you can get DVI corruption problems which usually appear as wobbly vertical lines. The left part of the image above is displayed correctly. The right part is showing DVI corruption.
9 gru 2015 · Try with a short (less than 3.5 meters) cable. If it works, then it's the cable causing signal loss. For HDMI there are good quality silver-plated cables which provide good signal integrity. You can utilize such cable with DVI->HDMI->DVI connectors.
9 gru 2015 · My monitor has always been connected with VGA. I wanted to connect it with a DVI cable. I turned off the computer, connected the DVI and turn on the computer. I received nothing on the screen, nothing changed and I heard a long " bip " from the PC. This sound lasted 3 seconds, then stopped.
4 gru 2015 · I purchased a DVI to VGA adapter to connect the secondary monitor, and while it detects the monitor the screen remains black as if it is in standby mode. I can even move windows and my mouse onto the second monitor, however it obviously just disappears from sight.
