The Laws of Duplicate Bridge (also known as the Laws of Duplicate Contract Bridge and the Laws of Contract Bridge) is the official rule book of duplicate bridge promulgated by the World Bridge Federation (WBF).
The rules for playing duplicate bridge are formally titled The Laws of Duplicate Bridge and are issued by the World Bridge Federation and its member governing bodies. The Laws are designed to define correct procedure and to provide an adequate remedy when there is a departure from correct procedure.
The focus of this document is to highlight the changes from the 2007 Code and to amplify WBFLC interpretations. As such, it is first and foremost a guide for TDs and not part of the 2017 Code. This commentary addresses each law in numerical sequence; however not all laws are covered.
