Last time i checked, OpenIV was safe and only reported as a virus due to the fact it modified your game. Basically, Anything made to modify game files via script and so on, It will label as a virus. It's not at all.

3 paź 2018 · If you recall the people behind OpenIV were porting Liberty City into the GTA-V engine and were closed down by Rockstar then the company made an announcement that it was okay for people to use OpenIV but in what capacity I do not know.
Almost definitely a false-positive, lots of mods and modding software can trigger antivirus due to the nature of them, and it would make sense for OpenIV to do the same, however it’s very widely used and the chance of it actually being malicious is basically zero.
