Metamod can be installed on CS2 server! Download the v2 dev build from: https://www.sourcemm.net/downloads.php/?branch=master. Extract it into your "game/csgo/" folder. You should end up with a structure similar to "cs2/game/csgo/addons" which contains "metamod", "metamod.vdf" and "metamod_x64.vdf".

Metamod:Source uses rolling releases, and updates are continuous. Updates to stable versions of MM:S are small and non-disruptive. It is generally recommended to run the latest stable build, however, it is not necessarily urgent to upgrade when a newer build appears.
