Wedding ceremonies can be by private ceremony that is arranged by parties. For information on who may perform ceremonies, please see O.C.G.A. §19-3-30 (c). The Probate Court does not perform wedding ceremonies.

Due to the continued high rate of COVID-19 transmission in Cobb County, the Magistrate Court will return to conducting wedding ceremonies BY APPOINTMENT ONLY starting September 1, 2021. Appointments may be scheduled by calling (770) 528-8906.

At the ceremony, each couple must present a valid Marriage License issued by any Probate Court in the State of Georgia.
