Ten pierwotny, mały wilk tworzy niewielką populację na terenie północnych Indii w Himalajach, na obszarze Dżammu i Kaszmiru, Himachal Pradesh oraz we wschodnim Nepalu. Wilk ten należy do osobnej linii wilków tworzących nowy gatunek ...
Canis himalayensis was proposed by Aggarwal et al. in 2007 for wolf specimens from the Indian Himalayas that differed in mitochondrial DNA from specimens collected in other parts of India. [11] In April 2009, Canis himalayensis was proposed as a distinct wolf species through the Nomenclature Specialist on the CITES Animals Committee.

Learn about the Himalayan wolf, also known as the Tibetan wolf, a subspecies of the gray wolf that lives in the high altitudes of Asia. Find out its physical description, habitat, prey, behavior, conservation, and latest research.
7 cze 2017 · Here, we analyse phylogenetic relationships and the geographic distribution of mitochondrial DNA haplotypes of the contemporary Himalayan wolf (proposed in previous studies as Canis himalayensis) found in Central Asia.
This article reports on the pack composition, denning behaviour and human–wolf conflict of the Himalayan wolf Canis (lupus) himalayensis in three study areas in Nepal. It provides insights for conservation practice and recommendations for the protection of this Critically Endangered species in the Himalayas.
1 paź 2018 · The Himalayan wolf seems uniquely adapted to life at high-altitudes of the Himalayas and the Tibetan Plateau. Through a non-invasive survey we confirm the presence of the Himalayan wolf across the Nepalese Himalayas and its phylogenetic distinctness based on mitochondrial and nuclear DNA.
