Learn about the brain's structure, functions and main parts, such as the cerebrum, brainstem and cerebellum. Find out how the brain sends and receives signals, processes information and regulates the body.
Explore the anatomy and function of the human brain with MRI, PET, and other imaging techniques. Learn about normal and abnormal brain structure and blood flow, and common diseases and disorders.
The horizontal menu gives access to several groups of anatomical structures: encephalic sulci and gyri, limbic system, white matter, ventricle and cisterns architecture, basal nuclei and related structures, optic tract, cerebellum with its lobes according to numbered nomenclature, spinal cord.
The study of the anatomy of the brain is neuroanatomy, while the study of its function is neuroscience. Numerous techniques are used to study the brain. Specimens from other animals, which may be examined microscopically, have traditionally provided much information.
15 lis 2024 · The Human Brain. Explore the brain's complex functions and composition with Innerbody's 3D anatomical model. The brain is one of the most complex and magnificent organs in the human body. Our brain gives us awareness of ourselves and of our environment, processing a constant stream of sensory data.
The telencephalon becomes the cerebrum, the largest part of the brain, divided into two halves, or hemispheres, and makes up about three fourths of the total brain volume (Figure 1.24 and Figure 1.29). In the human nervous system, the left hemisphere controls the right half of the body, and the right hemisphere controls the left side of the body.
