I keep my files organized in a music folder, but I did a test with a file just in the root of the drive and it found and played it no issue. I am not sure if iDrive 7 or 8 supports a playlist function.

It then offers a metube webinterface, a very hacky bashscript then copies the downloads to mp3 and exposes the "USB stick" to the BMW.
