19 lut 2018 · Product: Pavilion 14-al. Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) Internal battery. The battery will not properly charge. I plug in the cable and it will charge briefly, then show “plugged in, not charging”. I unplug it, put it back in, and again will charge for a few seconds before stopping.

Battery charging is not controlled by Windows or your operating system (if it was, you wouldn't be able to charge when your system was shut down or running a different operating system). So it's extremely probable that the issue you see is hardware related.
5 wrz 2024 · Windows 10 has several built-in troubleshooting tools that identify and fix problems, including battery issues. To use it, go to Settings > Update & Security > Power (in the Troubleshoot section) > Run the Troubleshooter. Remove the battery.
19 maj 2016 · After x minutes (totally random) it will stop charging and say Plugged In, Battery Not Charging and the battery will start to drain from then on. As it is plugged in, I don't get any warnings as to the battery level, so quite often my laptop suddenly sleeps because of it.

Method 2: Update all Display driver and ACPI driver updates from device manager. If the issue persists uninstall and reinstall from manufacturer website.
