As been answered before and also here, a valid Content-Transfer-Encoding HTTP response header does not exist. Also the known headers Content-Encoding and Transfer-Encoding have no appropriate value to express a Base64 encoded response body. Starting from here, no client would expect a response declared as application/pdf to be encoded as Base64!
24 cze 2013 · This is the smallest I could make it and have it openable in Acrobat X: %PDF-1. 70 bytes. Now, my editor uses Windows newline discipline, but Acrobat accepts Windows, Mac, or Unix conventions, so by using a hex editor, I replaced the \r\n with \r and removed the last newline altogether, which leaves me with 67 bytes.
26 paź 2009 · All you need to do is run it through any Base64 decoder which will take your data as a string and pass back an array of bytes. Then, simply write that file out with pdf in the file name. Or, if you are streaming this back to a browser, simple write the bytes to the output stream, marking the appropriate mime-type in the headers.
