These guidelines provide evidence-based recommendations for the use of phototherapy and systemic therapies for adults with atopic dermatitis (AD) refractory to topical treatments. They cover biologics, JAK inhibitors, immunosuppressants, and other interventions, and their efficacy, safety, and comparative effectiveness.
Two targeted treatments, crisaborole and dupilumab, have been approved since 2016, and many others are showing promise.
