Please note that this free wildfire map viewer was designed for simplicity and offers only a limited set of features. The data used in this application is downloaded from the satellite once per orbit and is therefore delayed by up to 3 hours.
The AFIS Alert System is designed to help you efficiently manage geofences and receive real-time fire alerts. By integrating data from multiple satellite sources, the application delivers near-instantaneous updates on fire incidents, ensuring you're always informed of potential threats.
Historical active fire data can now be viewed on the AFIS viewer by using the date scrollbar at the bottom of the screen. The active fires are shown in daily increments. This feature is in addition to the existing 30-day layer that is available in the map layer options.
