General information for many common licenses and permits issued by the DNR for recreation, environmental, professional/commercial, businesses and municipalities. Also, information for boat and recreational vehicle registrations and trail passes; state park and forests admission; game harvest.
Apply for the Possession, Transport, and Transfer of Live Fish Permit. A Fish Inventory Report is required to be completed for each license and for each location at which fish are possessed, stored or controlled.
Notice: Pursuant to chs. 30 and 31, Wis. Stats., ch. 281, Wis. Stats, and s. 283.33, Wis. Stats., this form is used to apply for coverage under the state construction site storm water runoff general permit, and to apply for a state or federal permit or certification for waterway and wetland projects or dam projects.
A county permit is not required for high capacity water systems, school water systems, wastewater treatment plant water systems, and water systems or installations requiring written plan approval from the DNR.
To apply: Apply online using our online ePermitting System at http://dnr.wi.gov/permits/water. Include all required attachments. Each document must be less than 15 megabytes and our online system offers a help guide to reduce file sizes. Permit processing review times begin when all of the required application materials are received by the DNR.
