Paying your taxes from the comfort of your car is a convenience for those who choose to pay their taxes in person with checks and money orders only. Two EZ-Pay drive-thru windows are located behind the Tax Receiver’s Office at 200 North Franklin Street in Hempstead.
Welcome to the online Receiver of Taxes office. This office collects taxes for Nassau County, the Town of Hempstead, 99 special districts, and 33 school districts and disburses the monies to school district treasurers and other districts without charge.
The Town of Hempstead now offers taxpayers the option of having their property tax bills delivered electronically via email, instead of through the U.S. Mail. Taxpayers also have the option to continue receiving paper tax bills in addition to receiving e-Bills.
