The West Virginia Offices of the Insurance Commissioner is responsible for the regulation of the West Virginia insurance market including consumer protections for our citizens.
Allan L. McVey was appointed West Virginia Insurance Commissioner by Governor Jim Justice on March 21, 2017. He was then appointed by the Governor to serve as Cabinet Secretary of the West Virginia Department of Administration in January 2019.
27 wrz 2021 · Allan L. McVey has been appointed as West Virginia’s insurance commissioner. Gov. Jim Justice announced McVey’s appointment Wednesday.
22 wrz 2021 · Allan McVey is the West Virginia Commissioner of Insurance. McVey assumed office on September 22, 2021. McVey's current term ends on January 13, 2025. McVey was appointed to the position by Governor Jim Justice (R), to fill the vacancy created by James Dodrill's resignation. McVey also served as the state's insurance commissioner from 2017 to 2019.
