In short, they are VW Beetles modified with rugged suspensions, beefy engines, and custom parts for off-road racing and dune-bashing fun.
A Baja Bug is an original Volkswagen Beetle modified as an all-terrain vehicle to operate off-road (open desert, sand dunes and beaches), although other versions of air-cooled Volkswagens are sometimes modified as well. Baja bugs often race in off-road desert races such as the Baja 1000.
5 lis 2019 · My vote is for Ecotec. If I was building a rail that’s what I would be using. Cheap, easy to find, lots of aftermarket support, and factory 2.0L with 275 hp. You can find a whole car with Ecotec engine in it for like $800 around here.

You often spot them in forests and wooded areas. A Baja Bug driver is keen on adventure. You can easily recognize a Baja Bug by the higher bodywork and the exposed engine.
