8 wrz 2002 · Venom 400, thoughts and opinions. Has anyone used the Venom 400 performance control module. I am thinking of purchasing one of these, as a low to mid range option, instead of just the WOT/none compensating chips that are on the market now. I was also wondering on others thoughts/input before purchase.
The Venom400 performance control module is an add on control unit that features it's own micro-controller. This module is connected to the throttle position sensor and the Manifold absolute pressure sensor, and by monitoring the sensors output characteristics and modifying the input signal to the vehicles existing ECU. 7 paź 2002 · The Venom 400 is only active when peak performance is required. During normal driving the Venom 400 remains passive until the microcomputer determines that engine airflow and throttle position warrants increased performance. Normal fuel economy prevails while under normal load.
25 mar 2006 · #1 · Mar 25, 2006. So, my friend just bought the Venom 400 Control Module for his DSM (95 gst). We hooked it up, and it made an instant difference. You could definitely tell the increase in HP. But i have been reading some stuff on it, and have read mixed reviews. Most say its awesome, others say its good but has a bad long term effect.
