The UNT Dallas College of Law is a public law school authorized by the State Legislature of Texas through legislation passed in 2009. The College of Law enrolled its first class in fall 2014. Initially, the College of Law is a professional school within the UNT System.

All applicants are required to take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) and register with the Credential Assembly Service (CAS). A four-year degree from a regionally, accredited undergraduate school is required of every applicant prior to matriculation at the College of Law.
