The primary purpose of the Thurgood Marshall Law Library is to support the teaching and research functions of the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, and other University System of Maryland researchers who need to use legal materials.
Subscription access to many legal and non-legal databases and online journals is available. The library's catalog provides access to its holdings, as well as the holdings of other libraries within the University of Maryland System. The Thurgood Marshall Law Library contains over 400,000 volumes of Anglo-American legal materials as well as outstanding international and foreign law collections. Descriptions of our collections may be found online.
The University of Maryland School of Law is located in downtown Baltimore, six blocks northwest of the Inner Harbor and four blocks north of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, in the University Center district. The Thurgood Marshall Law Library and the School of Law share a common building.
