We’ve been instructing yachting, sailing and watersports for over 30 years at our waterfront base in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. Visitors to UKSA range from six-year-old school children to adults and we even instruct those looking to learn a new skill much later on in life!
UKSA in Cowes (previously called UK Sailing Academy) is a youth charity offering professional maritime training opportunities, youth development programs and school/ group residential trips. The charity was founded in 1987 by MFI entrepreneur Noel Lister.
The Day Skipper course is for aspiring Day Skippers and can be used to obtain an International Certificate of Competence and satisfies the minimum experience requirement for bare boat charter. This course concentrates on pilotage, navigation and boat handling under both sail and power.
UK Sailing Academy (UKSA) enjoys a 4-acre, waterfront location in Cowes on the sunny Isle of Wight and is the perfect location for residential and non-residential sailing, watersports and team building for students aged 6 years and over.
