The Flume is a natural gorge extending 800 feet at the base of Mount Liberty. The walls of Conway granite rise to a height of 70 to 90 feet and are 12 to 20 feet apart. The Flume Trail is a 2-mile loop starting at the check-in booths located in front of the Flume Building.

26 lip 2021 · The Flume Gorge in Franconia Notch State Park is one of our favorite places to visit in New Hampshire. It’s a moderately difficult 2-mile loop with 500 feet elevation gain through a picturesque forest and a striking narrow gorge with cascading waterfalls.

Once you walk past Table Rock (a huge granite structure that actually comes from the last ice age) you’ll start to see signs of the main event: the falls. This comes after the first part of the brief hike, and the wall towers on either side of the narrowing path grow much taller.
- The Flume Gorge will be open daily from 9am - 4pm. - Reservation check-in is outside on the walkway in front of the main building. - Once checked in, you will proceed around the building and begin the Flume Trail.
