I've been looking into universities for film/cinema, graphic design related fields and found Texas Tech. I've been reading into how it's a friendly environment, Lubbock has nice residents, dry weather, etc. But how are the classes, professors, and structure (lecture or hands-on)? And also of course, how TTU is right now. (Class of 2025 here!)

You can get the traditional American university experience at Texas tech. Live on campus in a dorm, or near campus in a nice apartment. The university is diverse, lots of courses of study, and huge, both in enrollment and in acreage.
Tech campus, albeit really large and intimidating upon first experience, is decently laid out that makes it easy to traverse. The department heads are all very nice and changed a lot from COVID and are extremely collaborative with their students.
